Peter and Wendy influenced Peter Pan

Disney's adaptation of Barrie's novel, in development since the 1930s. It keeps the nursery, the flight, the pirates and the crocodile, and removes Barrie's narrator, whose asides about the children's mother are most of what makes the book unsettling.
