About the work

Pinocchio

Set in the Pinocchio universe.

A woodcarver's puppet is brought to life and told he can become a real boy if he proves himself brave, truthful and unselfish, then is promptly sold to a puppet show, lured to an island where boys turn into donkeys, and swallowed by a whale. Much darker than its reputation, and technically the finest thing the studio made in that era.
